So when we were deciding on what activities the girls were going to do this Spring, my middle daughter, Candace, decides she wants to try horseback riding.
My oldest, Victoria, plays softball. That's her sport! No questions....

But we knew that horseback riding could be expensive. So we looked around and found a small family farm that offers inexpensive riding lessons. Candace absolutely loves it! And seems to be a natural, she is learning ro ride English. We have never grown up around horses and don't really know anything about them, so we are all learning with her.
Last Wednesday was Candace's first riding show. A Fun Show, which I found out it is where they could dress in casual clothes, and it's kind of practice for upcoming shows where they will have to be formally dressed and prepared. As we were getting ready the storm hit. Thankfully it passed pretty quickly and the show went on!!!

It was so much fun watching the girls and their horses (especially now that I understand what's goin on). Candace was judged in 4 categories...
1. Walking, she placed 3rd
2. Waking, Cantering, and Trotting, she placed 2nd
3. Cantering, she placed 2nd
4. Red Light, Green Light, she placed 1st
And overall she placed 2nd!!!

We were so excited, and of course so was Candace. Now as you can guess Victoria wants to start this Fall. She wants to ride Western. I think she will also do well with it. So it look as if we will have ribbons everywhere!!!
